SALLIE MAE
Many students who have used private student loans have utilized the Sallie Mae Smart Option Student Loan, which covers tuition, associated costs, and living expenses. Representatives at Sallie Mae may recommend the following:
-Use a cosigner, when possible, even if you believe you don’t need one.
-Avoid over-borrowing (borrow the minimum amount needed for tuition, associated costs, and living expenses).
-Apply for funding as soon as you enroll in a Â鶹¹ÙÍø program.

Do you have a Special or Unusual Circumstance that you want Financial Aid to review? Professional Judgement reviews are available to all Â鶹¹ÙÍø Students.

The Â鶹¹ÙÍø Financial Aid Office understands that life changes may occur unexpectedly and beyond your control. Changes to income and household size (among others) may affect the original results of your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Federal Regulations allow Â鶹¹ÙÍø to review students’ special and unusual circumstances on a case-by-case basis and make limited adjustments to data reported on the FAFSA. If you think the information reported on your current FAFSA does not accurately reflect your family’s current situation, you may request a review of your financial aid eligibility by emailing financialaid@chartercollege.edu
